Hi All

As we know since SP3, the login security password are not even stored in the
registry when using WSM.

I saw that when adding the SubscriberEncryptedPasswordBinary in the
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL
Server\80\Replication\Subscriptions\my_subscriptio n] WSM works.
I don't even remember how I have found the binary password I use. I know the
password in clear text but didn't know how to convert it.

What I would like is to know how to retrieve or convert the clear text
password to the encryptbinary password in order to put in my registry the
Distributor and publisher password while I dont use the windows integrated
security.

I'm thinking to the problem when I will have to change the password on 100
laptops running merge replication with WSM.

I fyou don't understand me don't hesitate to ask, my english is not as good
as i would like. :)
Thanks
