| Can anyone suggest a way for me to track unxplained cluster failovers?I've had 2 incidents where my SQL server cluster failed over to the back up server and I can't find anything in any of the logs that gives me any "USEFUL" information.I've looked at the system/app/sec logs for the box and the sql server log, but nothing substantial is logged."SQL Server is terminating due to 'stop' request from Service Control Manager." and then the same in the sys/app/sec logs, but no "who did what?"ie. anyone suggest additional logging or what to log or look for in a scenario like this? |

| You should see some stuff from ClusSvc in the event logs...Can you post some of the messages that you are seeing and from which node they are comming from?Michael<Yoda>Use the Search page you must. Check the Security Log in Event Viewer to see who logged in around that time.I would bet that this is related to someone or some automated process installing the various MS patches.You'd see an unexpected message if this wasn't planned.Tara Kizer |
