Today, I discovered an ldf file on one of my databases 45 gb. I sorted it, but then I asked the question, if a dba has 100 databases to administer how does he/she know if one of them suddenly increases in size. The disk it's on is over 300gb, so I was not alerted about disk size, none the less I need to know about it.Drew |

Set up a job to monitor file sizes and to email or message you when one grows beyond expected boundaries.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
