Basic question of security
We have an application which access to a specific database throw an ODBC system link.
How to deny a user to use this ODBC link from another application (like MS Query), knowing that the ODBC offer to the user read/write rights.

Another event:
Is it possible from SQL Server 2000, to GRANT access on a TABLE to a USER only for a specific APPLICATION?

thanks

Have you looked at "application roles" in BOL?
