| HI,good to join this forum with all you people here.i'm new to the sql server since now i have practiced on oracle and now i want to get hang of the sql server too. what i want to know is that there are some features unique to the sql server and somw synta modifications from oracle.i need help from you in gathering the material where it is available or you can just send me a link or email me i have the complete reference for oracle from sibex,i was expecting something like that for sql server and i couldn't find anywhereThanks in advance,rajesh manne |

| T-SQL is specific to MS SQL server and a lot more things.The easiest reference is Books OnLine (The help feature of MS SQL server)Other than that there r lots of sites. U can participate in this forum as well.Also, u try to work on it, to get the real fealing.Start with installing SQL Server on a machine and create users, create database, tables, familiarize with the tools provided .....Good Luck |

| Hy As u r familier with oracle, u will not face too much trouble with writting a query because thats not lot difference but of course some reserved words and extra features will create some confusion or make thing not work of which u used to. well if u give me your yahoo id i can forward u some useful links.mine is sonu_shah81@yahoomail.comso u can add in yahoo messenger. |
