my log file is in size of almost 7 GB where the DB is in the size of9GB!!!!morethen that - i have change the recovery from full to bulkbut still no reduce!why is that?what can cause the log to become so big?thnks inadvancepelegIsrael -the best place to live in aftr heaven 9but no one wan't to go there so fast -:) |

DBCC DBREINDEX will cause this. You should not shrink the transaction log as it will just grow again next time the optimizations occur. So you'll receive a performance hit while it needs to grow again.We have some tlogs that are 1.5 times bigger than the database.Tara Kizeraka tduggan |
