Hi All

I am trying to install sql server on my xp machine. When I run the install it says it can't validate the product key. I have all legit copies of the software. I did a search on the web and i found something about problems in NT, but nothing for XP. Any ideas?

Not knowing the version of SQL server & Windows XP, that u have its very hard to answer ur Question.

I have Windows XP professional with service pack 2. The version of sql server I have is sql server 2000 developers edition. thanks

SQL Server 2000 Dev edition will works on XP Pro. Double check the product key and verify it with MSDN.
