We are shortly going to be migrating from NT domain to Active Directory. We are running Windows Server 2003 & SQL Server 2000.Most of our SQL Server applications are using Windows authentication/ passthrough. However, I believe that we may use some SQL authentication (at a sys admin level). We are a bit concerned that we do not know what is going to happen regarding the ownership of DTS packages and jobs. All users will be getting new usernames, and we fear that this may cause jobs to fail.Would someone please be able to advise how the AD migration may affect SQL Server?I am under the assumption that SIDs will remain unchanged, and that they will simply be renamed. I am unsure what is happening regarding the domain name. Will we need to manually change ownership of DTS packages & jobs? Or will this be handled with the migration? Many Thanks,Simon |

I'm not sure what tools they are using. Will have to check (i'm not a systems person, "just" a newbie developer). There is a test domain. I am planning to see if this can be tested there. However, was hoping to gather info from others' experiences so that I am pre-warned about potential problems. Thanks |
