| Hi all,Apologies if this has been answered - I did have a quick look through the forums.I would like to create a Backup Schedule for our website's live SQL DB.When creating the job I came accross the message "SQLServer Agent needs to be running etc..."My question is:Why isn't SQLServerAgent set to automatic start-up by default?Is it due to security issues? or is it a resource consumption thing...or something else..Ta,Pete |

| It's an option when you install.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.DTS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
