I'm currently taking a 1 year certification course for database design at the local college. My question is..Do you need a BS degree to obtain an entry level position or would certification program be enough for entry level?
This program covers VB and VB advanced, Intro to Oracel/SQL and advanced, administering a SQL server, advanced Access, networking, and a host of others.

Certification helps + ability to convince an employer that you can do more than just talk-the-talk...ie just "rabbit-back" what the manual says.

Also willing to learn off others and not pretend you know it all because you've done the courses..

The only certification I ever got was for Informix New-Era years ago..
