Barry writes "I have a table that has (among others) two columns that are DateOfSeminar and SeminarLocation. I want to return DISTINCT DateOfSeminar values and their equivalent SeminarLocation- but they must not be DISTINCT. When I use:
SELECT DISTINCT DateOfSeminar, SeminarLocation FROM ContactInfo ORDER BY DateOfSeminar;
... it returns DISTINCT SeminarLocations as well and I get results like:
04/24/2001 Hot Springs, AK 04/24/2001 Hot Springs, Arkansas
They are obviously the same seminar and I only need it once. I've tried everything I can think of." |
