I have developed an application in dot net\sqlserver 2000.I need to include the sql scripts which contains only stored procedures in the installer(setup).What type of grant permissions needed for a DBO on stored procedures.

If the account that your application uses to access the db server is in fact a DBO (and it shouldn't be for security reasons) then you don't need any grant permissions because its the...dbo (database owner).

There are many different security models you could use but...one case:
If the account your app uses to access the db server is just a user or role, then you need to "grant exec on <sp> to <userORrole>". If your stored procedures access tables in an other database or if you use dynamic sql to select from tables then you will also need to "grant select on <tb> to <userORrole>". (The user needs be have access granted to the other databases as well)
