Hello Friends,

I am new to sql server. i am not understanding use of index and trigger. Please can any one help me by providing links or examples.

for Triggers

They are Events which are fired when any DML(Insert,Update,Delete)
Statements are executed on the particular table.

Its always good read about any topic on Book online, you will get same
simple samples over there to make your fundamental clear.

An index is like the index of a book. It will help you find things faster.
Triggers are automatic code snippets that are executed whenever a change is made to the data in a table. With SQL Server 2005, there are also triggers for detecting whenever the layouts are changed.
