I would fix a problem which was about getting exception when I browsed to a web method (in a web service ).the exception was something about it could not connect to configuration database (Sharepoint) and follow article 823287. I located to properties for my SQl Server 2000 in enterprise manager and changed something which was about network and it was 0, I changed it to 1. after that I can not locate to SQL Server it is running but it seems dead. when i click it in enterprise manager it genereates following: A connetion could not be established to (LOCAL) Reason:General network error. Check your network documentation. ConnectionRead (WrapperRead()).. please verify sql server is running and check your sql server registration(by right-click on the (LOCAL) node) and try again. thanks for your help
