Not sure what happened, but I came back from vacation and was doing some manual backups.I was using EM with no problem.I first backed up the database with the Wizard. Did a full backup and put it on the local share.Next, I went to backup the T-Logs using the wizard and was going to back it up on the local disk as well. However, I get a errors. A box pops up and says:The volume on device D:\Backup share\<name of DB backup> is not part of a multiple family media set. BACKUP WITH FORMAT can be used to form a new media set.BACKUP LOG is terminating abnormally Any ideas? Thanks. |

May be your backup file is part of stripped backup set...Use FORMAT option or delete the file before running the backup...MohammedU |
