Hi All,I am currently running SQL Server 2000 + SP4 on Windows 2000, with 2G of physical memory. On several occasions, I have had my server shutdown itself(esp in the night) when overnight jobs are supposedly running. The error I am getting on the server's event log is:Description:The previous system shutdown at 12:01:34 AM on 16/02/2007 was unexpected. Please help me as this has been intermittent, and it's impacting production. Do I need more memory??Thanks.JungleDBA |

I reckon its either a Power Cut/Outage, or a Blue Screen - in which case there should be a .DMP file from the last Blue Screen - if there is one of those that suggests something sick on the computer!I wouldn't expect a memory shortage to cause the machine to just crash!Kristen |
