Hi,

Almost all the articles indicates that that SQL Server 2000 Standard edition only support 2GB memory whereas I remember reading the article that if it installed on Windows 2000 then the limit is 2GB and if installed on Windows 2003 and use the /3gb switch we can use 2.7GB out of 4GB. Let me know what is the correct version as need to tell the client and don't have any box currently to try myself.

Thanks

It is still 2GB.
The configuration in which the /3GB switch is an attractive option is when you run
Enterprise SQL 2000 or SQL2005 standard + higher on a server with 4GB of memory.

Standard SQL2000 is restricted to 2GB.
