Microsoft released an updated SQL Server 2005 SP2 on March 5th, 2007. The build number is 9.00.3042.01. The previous build number was 9.00.3042.00. This corrects an issue with maintenance plans not treating days correctly. Here is the download link for SQL Server 2005 SP2.

Should 9.00.3042.01 be displayed if I run "select @@version"? The install seemed to run correctly and the dlls have the new version, but @@version returns 9.00.3042.00 on my machine. Could someone confirm what they're seeing after installing this?

Thanks

there is now an even newer update.

The latest version of SP2 for servers that have not had SP2 applied (this should replace the original SP2 install):
