| Hi there SQL team trying to licence SQL 2005 loaded on to a HP DL 380 Dual DC Xeon 2.33GHzDual means 2 CPU's on this server or is it one? |

| SQL Server is licensed by physical CPUs, so you need one licence per CPU, but a dual core CPU is still one CPU, so you only need one license per dual core CPU.See http://www.microsoft.com/sql/howtobuy/multicore.mspx |
