| Hi,I just truncated a huge table from my database. Having done this, my data file (mdf) should reduce to a greater extent. But this is not happening. Does it mean that I have to wait for sometime for SQL services to update the file system or should I restart the SQL service or do i need to reboot the system.Please suggest.AD |

| ok..i tried shrinking the database and selected Shrink files under this window. It worked.Thanks for visiting this page. |

SQL table - data file size question
