How's the "Report this" button coming on?

Can't remember if I suggested this on the earlier thread, but I reckon you could create an HREF (in Snitz) something like:

"MyPage.asp?TOPIC_ID=" + TheActualTopicID + "&UserID=" + CurrentLoggedInUserID

and then you could make a MyPage.ASP, which doesn't need to be integrated with Snitz that just stores those two bits of data in a DB table - and does anything else you want, perhaps Emails all MODs not-more-than-once-a-day - all it needs is a BACK or CLOSE button (if its a popup).

Could even be a AJAX style doubrie - hidden IFRAME, "Report This" button launches the MyPage.ASP int eh IFrame and changes the button to "Reported" to indicate that the page is now reported.

I don't see any need to alert others to the fact that it is already reported. 10 reports from "trusted" Users indicates SPAm needing killing. A single report may not ...

Whereas currently I Email you when I see something (which is no help if you are asleep/away-from-office etc.); others start a thread here - which clogs the system up ....

... just thinking out loud.

It not for now :) I'd like to just keep using the Site News forum for a little while. I subscribe to the forum so I get emailed whenever there's a new post. I'm hoping the last few days are just a small spike and not what we can expect in the future.

OK, fine by me. What I see I'll post there.

Does you subscription tell you of an additional post to (say) and existing SPAM report, or does one need to start a new post each time?
