I have an assignment in uni so please help using only oracle SQL
not PL\SQL
here is the question:


Question-1:

Consider the following number of records needs to be entered and then later on some body has to update them. Do not change name of table and its column names.

Table name: Stock_Items
Stock_No Item_desc New_desc

3900016 ADRENALINE INJECTION B.P.
3900017 ALBUCID EYE DROPS
3900018 AMINOPHYLLINE 250MG & AMP
3900019 ALDOMET TABLETS 250MG
3900020 ALGIPAN BALM
3900021 ALLOSPASMIN DROPS PEDIATRIC.
3900022 ALUPENT DOSIER-AEROSOL
3900023 AMOXIL CAPSULE 500MG
3900024 AMOXIL TAB & SYRUP 250MG/5ML
3900025 AMOXIL CAPSULE 250MG
3900026 SRINDGE pills 0.5' & 0.25'

Write down series of SQL statements to insert above data.

Write a single SQL statement that updates column New_desc with Item_desc. SQL statement must not include special characters ampersand and single quote. Replace symbol & with and word, single quote with symbol >

First, we don't answer homework questions without the poster showing us what they have tried so far.
Second, you've posted on a Microsoft SQL Server site. You'd have better luck on a site that has an Oracle forum.
