query from interbase using linked servers

query from interbase using linked servers

created a linked server. But i can't query the table.
i tried different combinations but they dont work.

LS: dccs_danville
DB: intdccs_dv.gdb
table:tblload

select top 10 * from dccs_danville.INTDCCS_DV.gdb.tblload
select top 10 * from dccs_danville.INTDCCS_DV.dbo.tblload
select top 10 * from dccs_danville.INTDCCS_DV...tblload
select top 10 * from dccs_danville.INTDCCS_DV.tblload
select top 10 * from dccs_danville...tblload
select top 10 * from dccs_danville.INTDCCS_DV.tblload

also tried EXEC sp_tables_ex 'dccs_danville'
tblload is able to be queried.

anyone know what is wrong?

What is the error you get? have you mapped local logins with linked server logins also using sp_addlinkedsrvlogin?

table_schem: EMPTY (NOTHING IN HERE)
table_name: tblload

select top 1* from DCCS_DANVILLE.tblload

Invalid object name 'DCCS_danville.tblload'.

select top 1* from DCCS_DANVILLE.INTDCCS_DV.tblload

Invalid object name 'DCCS_DANVILLE.INTDCCS_DV.tblload'.

select top 1* from DCCS_DANVILLE...tblload
Server: Msg 7314, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
OLE DB provider 'DCCS_DANVILLE' does not contain table 'tblload'. The table either does not exist or the current user does not have permissions on that table.
OLE DB error trace [Non-interface error: OLE DB provider does not contain the table: ProviderName='DCCS_DANVILLE', TableName='tblload'].

What this query returns for you?

Select * from openquery(dccs_danville, 'Select * from gdb.Information_schema.tables')

assuming,

dccs_danville - Linked server name
gdb - database name
