| there is a sql job that failed yesterday. This job calls a store procedure. This store procedure doesn't use any temp table. But there are lots of updates and inserts clauses.application log shows:Error: 9002, Severity: 17, State: 2The log file for database 'tempdb' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space.----------------------------------------------------------------tempdb.mdf 1.37gbtemplog.ldf 19.6 mbthese files are located on D: drive and D drive has 52gb free spacedatabasename : tempdbdatabase_size: 1422.00 mbunallocated space: 1403.60 mb----------------------------------------------------------------anyone to fix this?i used "backup log tempdb with truncate_only" But i dont know if it truncated the log file? how do i fix this problem. |

| rmiao,tempdb is set to default. It autogrows.I have setup Data File Auto Grow and Log File Auto Grow on Profiler. It has been running for 3 hours. But nothing has been caught.Any suggestions? |

| Maybe files didn't grow yet. Did you check file size? |
