I am currently using the trial version of SQL 2000 to connect to a remote db so I can query the data.

When the trial version runs out what can i do? will MSDE work for me or will the express edition of SQL 2005 be better?

Thanks! Bruno

You can buy the developer edition of SQL Server for about $50 US list price. Amazon has it here for 41.99 US.

That will give you a complete set of client tools, and well as a complete, full-featured working version of SQL Server.
