this is most likely by defragmentation of indexes.

is there any script to do this? and is it not a problem dropping and reconstructing the indexes?

You can check it with 'dbcc showcontig', rebuilding clustered index can defrag table. You may also have file frag on the server, need disk defrag tool to handle that.

You might need to do some further reading around the subject about how SQL Server stores data, extents, pages, page headers etc..
