hello !

Could someone tell me which collation I have to use for a text field with a unique index, but which should make the diffrence between œ and oe. (Latin1_General_CS_AS does not make a diffrence between them)

Thanks a lot for any feedback !

Regards,
Fabianus

Maybe the clue would come from the language of that funny character....what's it meant to be?

What about good-old Binary collation?

select 1 where 'œ' collate Latin1_General_BIN <> 'oe' collate Latin1_General_BIN
