 importing .csv file

Hi,
i am having problems while importing a .csv file.
when i import a .csv file in sql server I get the folowing error message.
"Cannot create an OLE DB accessor. Verify that the column metadata is valid".

Any help would be appreciated

How are you trying to import it?
Bulk insert is usually the easiest.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

I am using the sql server import export wizard to import the .csv file.
what is "bulk insert"

Have a look in bol.

bulk insert mytable from c:\myfile.csv with (fieldterminator=',')

The path will be relative to the server not the client machine.
