| Well, both came from the same original code. So there will be a lot of similarities, but since version 6.5 they have moved apart. So I would imagine that it won't be too difficult to "port" across, but you won't be able to just Backup from Sybase and Restore to SQL Server.(I think that Sybase have two databases - the Big One (Sybase 11 perhaps?) which started from the same root as SQL Server and a Baby One (SQL Anywhere perhaps??) which was something different - coming originally out of a database that Watcom built, was bought by whoever owned Power Builder and that company in turn got merged with Sybase.Kristen |
