Curious, what does one get out of going to a conference like PASS? (besides getting a free trip from work!).I can see how it might be a place for consultants to mingle and potentially land new contracts. What other opportunities are there?

PASS has advanced sessions, so you can get advanced training that you can't get out of your local training company. Almost all training that you can get for SQL Server is either for beginners or intermediates. PASS provides senior level training in quite a few sessions.Tara Kizerhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/

Well you have to pay to attend PASS. You then get most sessions included. There are often pre-conference sessions, such as the one that Kimberly Tripp did in 2005 that I attended. That was extra, but it was well worth it!Tara Kizerhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/
