Hello,

Assuming the exact same setup (same db, data, procedures, server specs etc) has anyone seen any performance data comparing SQL 2005 versus 2000?

How about when they converted over to take advantage of sql2005's new features, how was performance effected?

Depends on how you query table. You need rebuild index and/or update statistics after moving db to sql2k5, otherwise may get worse performance.

.. and change the Compatibility level from 80 to 90

Here is a pointer to some stuff about migrating from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005, but nothing about performance comparison - yet!
