Hi,
I read this in an article:

"Periodically use the SQL Profiler to continuously search for table and index scans"

How do we do that pls? where is it located in Profiler?
Thank you

Scans
|-> Scan:Started
|-> Scan:Stopped

but i'd suggest you first look at query duration and then manually inspect the execution plans.

I think you need to read up on how to tackle a poorly performing application. I don;t think we are going to be particularly helpful to you answering one-off questions out of the blue, although I think we can help with the specifics once you get under way.

www.sql-server-performance.com has some good checklists with detailed descriptions of Why/How etc.
