Hi All,I have a problem with my SQL 2000 server , i can't enable full text index on my server . But i verified that my SQL server is installed with full text component and i got one service named "microsoft search" . And microsoft search service is now running , but when i enable full text index its take long time and can't enable this. So please provide a solution for this. Have Nice Day!Thanks,Sajin  |

| How much data are you extecting to index? Have you tried doing a full-text index on a small set of data to ensure you have everything setup the way you want it? Maybe the problem is volume....you're not waiting until it's complete???? |

What is the error you get? Are you typing:EXEC sp_fulltext_database 'enable' ?

Sajin, are you saying that the command works but then when you try to do a full-text index it takes a long time? Have you tried what Andrew suggested?

| Hi , still i can not access full text index service ....But i checked it with another system and i got it. I disable the index service on the server, full text service is really use this ? Please give a solution for this , alteat the same situation u have faced.Thanks |
