hi all,Sorry this question may sound silly to anyone of you, but I just wondering:One of my databases is having 3 data files, and I notice that the sizes of these 3 data files are quite unevenly distributed. the mdf one is around 35%-40% larger than the second data file, whereas third data file is also 20-25% larger than the second data file. What could have result it? Does anyone know? |

The difference is due to the objects that you have placed in the files.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |

Are they in same file group? By the way, all system objects are in .mdf file. |
