| I have re installed SQL server 2005 onto my Vista premium laptop.the only error i get is with IIS.how do i get IIS7 onto my vista laptop.I am studying for my mcts and going through the microsoft installation and maintainence self kit book. so i will have problems when i get to tasks involving reporting services.RegardsRob |

| Are you sure it's not installed already? What happens when you browse to http://localhost/ ?If it's not there you need to install it. I (thankfully) dont have Vista in front of me so cannot give precise instruction, but if you go into whatever they now call the Add or Remove programs section, it is one of the "Windows components". It may ask for the Vista disc during the process.steve-----------Don't worry head. The computer will do all the thinking from now on. |

It's called "Programs and Features" in Vista. II7 should be included but it is not installed by default, as Steve said you should be able to install it under Windows Features in "Programs and Features" (previously add/remove programs). Future guru in the making. |
