Hello all,Never had to set up a server before and am bewildered by the licensing speak.I'm going to have 1 small server (probably with 1 quad core processor) with 1 instance of SQL server running on it. The same server will host an intranet site through which all users will access the data. What kind of licensing set up is required for this?ThanksElliott |

If all users will be internal (and not accessing it externally via the Internet), you can get away with a server license plus CALs. What edition you pick depends on what functionality you require.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |
