could someone tell what is a schema is when using within SQL SERVER 2005

well if you're familiar with .net a schema is analogous to a namespace.
it's an owner of objects

Oooooh... I don't think you want to be calling it an "owner" of objects. Conceptually that's right, but given the history of SQL Server object owners and the fact that now in SQL Server 2005 you have schemas and owners - you definitely don't want to be calling a schema an "owner of objects".
