 Backup job

Full backup job of one user database(10.8 GB) is taking abnormally long time 9 hrs

Please let me know where can I start investigating on this ?

how big is it? I have a 1TB db that takes about 2 hours to backup...

I am backing up to disk. I am taking the Full backup .

Where is the disk? What kind of disk? Is it single disk or disk array?

It's a single disk
I monitored the job...today it took 3 hrs

I did't find anything in logs
please advice

It depends on disk type and speed, pci disk usually is slower than scsi ones. And monitor disk i/o in perfmon.

I monitored the job ...last run took 1 hr 21 min
Then 3 days ago why the job was ran abnormally 9 hrs??
