| sql server agent / mail session / mail profile has sql server agent mail and sql mail. I selected sql agent mail clicked apply and OK. Then when I open the properties window again. SQL SERVER AGENT is not selected. Why is that? http://www.sqlserverstudy.com |

| Because it defaults to the first mail session it defines in the GUI.Are your mails sending under the SQL Agent Mail account? |

Yes, you have to create the profile local to the server. You need to use your exchange (or whatever mail program you use, but it is easier with exchange) account and add that to the profile. |
