I have the opportunity to have our Server guys set up HP openview to monitor our SQL Server Instance and send me alerts when there are problems. I would definitely like to know what the disk space trending is so I know if I have a log out of control or backups not being deleted.. and of course things like CPU Utilization, SQL Server services not running, can't ping server etc.. etc.. but on the SQL Server side - can anyone make suggestions on what kind of things I should be monitoring on the Server? |
