HI,

I know that it is a silly question.

I need to use ODBC driver to connect sql server 2000 from another application, so when ODBC is connecting database, are the userid/password which is typed in ODBC encrypted or not? In other words, is it secure for userid/password when the connection is built?

Thanks for any idea

The ODBC adminstrator applet where you create DSNs does not keep the password at all. The Username is kept merely as a convenience, but I have found that it causes more confusion than conveneince.
