| Yes since they store all server level data like logins, jobs and so. By the way, system dbs usually are smell and should take much space. |

| Yes you should back up your system databases. The only system database that you do not need to back up is the Temp DB. That database gets re-created every time the SQL Server Service gets re-started.Chris Shawwww.SQLonCall.com |
