HI,

We have a SQL SERVER 2000 and have few databases running on it.
I have created a Maintenance plan on it which is scheduled to take database backup, transaction log backup every day, delete 2 days BAK and TRN files. Its working fine. My problems are as below :

1) There are few earlier backup schedules created on individual databases. I need to delete these backup schedules as my Maintenance plan works fine. How do I remove previous backup schedules ? Because of this duplicate backups are created which eats up my HDD space.

2) While Maintenance plans works fine, it does not delete TRN files more than 2 days old as specified in the plan. Why ?

Thanks in advance to reply my queries.

Vijay

1. right click on the job and choose delete in em.
2. check plan's log file, it tells you why.
