hi

i am new to sql server 2000. i want to install sql server 2000 on a server machine. how can i make it possible for all clients so that they can access sql server 2000 on the server machines, from their client machines.

Somebody suggested me to install Clients software on the client machines.

SO, which client software should I install and from where i can download that client software

i had the same problem a while back. I use 2005 SQL Sever Management Studio Express. The actual database is SQL Server 2000 but the 2005 version works flawlessly with the database and is available free from Microsoft

If you don't have 2005 , you can install the SQL Server 2000 Client Tools on the client machines
