hi guys,can anyone explain what are torn pages and how to fix this error?BOL suggests to restore from backup. is there any way?thanks in advance... |

torn page means that there is corruption. the only fix is to restore from backup and play transaction logs to get a full recovery or point-in-time rcovery (if in full archive mode) if you are in simple recovery mode you will lsoe data since the last full or differential backup.torn page usually means hardware problem. check you disk subsystem for issues since this is the usual cause for this type of problem.-ec |

thanks a lot, im lucky that i fully recover data from my full and transactional backups.. just hoping if there's a faster method other than restoring.. again, thanks for the advice.. i'll check on my disk.. |
