| We are using sql server 2000. I checked the sql server logs and noticed that everytime a user logs into sql an error log gets created stating, "starting up database 'CORT'". This db has nothing to do with users logging in as far as I can tell. What can check to find out what's causing this error log? |

is that the LOG, or the error logIf it is not an error message, don't sweat it---this happens.

| I'm looking in EM in the Management folder under Sql Server Logs and when I right click on the message and choose properties it says "Sql Server Error Log Messages starting up database 'CORT'". Is it really an error? |

No, nothing to worry about. I had the same question years ago when I noticed that kind of thing...seemed the log was full of it every time I logged into EM.
