Hi all!

Who knows how to get rid of that IE 5.5 annoying warning message
"This page may be rendered wrong because of your Security
options forbid ActiveXs execution"?

Thanks.

Last I checked, there was no way to disable the message.*
All the 'helpful' answers I found said, "change the security settings so ActiveX controls run" which didn't do much good for my blood pressure!

* other than running through a proxy that strips out such content

Thank you, Arnold!

Pity it seems it is so... BTW, I disabled ActiveXs not for security reason
but for speedy one. And I disabled my old (home) AtGuard firewall for the
same reason. BTW, my old AtGuard version is not able to remove <object>
tags from HTML if these tags are outside of <body></body> or they are
inside of a HTML table... but AtGuard's 'son' - Norton PF - works perfectly.

Anyway in my opinion the IE is the best browser and SQLTeam.com is one of the
nicest SQL sites I ever saw. :)

I think you'll see that message everytime the site attempts to load a flash ad at the top of the page. You might not see this message everytime, since most of the ads now are plain text one from Google Adwords.

That's correct. We aren't running flash ads at this time.

Stoad,

You could try Netscape 7 - it'll make the warning go away, and tabbed browsing speeds viewing threads here on SQLTeam.

IE 6 won't change the problem, but I'd like to know why you're still on 5.5?

Never mind, Sam,
it makes not much sense to update my browser,
because in fact I am out of w.w.web.. Cheers!!
